CHRISTMAS GRINCH COOKIES

Ingredients for Christmas Grinch Cookies

  • 1 large egg
  • ¾ teaspoon of green gel food coloring
  • 1 bag of sugar cookie mix
  • ¼ cup of all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup of unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 18 Hershey’s kisses, unwrapped
  • 18 large heart candy sprinkles

Instruction

  • Step 1:
    • Set aside a small muffin pan that has been lightly sprayed with baker’s spray or lined with paper liners.
  • Step 2:
    • In a small bowl, beat the egg and green gel food coloring with a fork until the food coloring is well mixed with the beaten egg. This will help the green gel food coloring to be distributed more easily and uniformly into the dough.
  • Step 3:
    • Using a hand mixer on low speed, mix the sugar cookie mix, butter, flour, and egg mixture in a large basin for two to three minutes, or until well blended.
    • Your dough will be quite dense.
  • Step 4:
    • Using a 1½ tablespoon (1½ inch) cookie scoop, form a ball of dough.
    • In your palm, flatten it into a 3-inch disc.
    • After gently pulling the edges up to enclose the candy and form it into a ball, place a Hershey’s Kiss in the middle.
  • Step 5:
    • Insert the cookie dough balls into the muffin tray, being careful to keep the Hershey’s Kiss upright.
    • Bake for ten to twelve minutes. Keep your dough from turning brown. All you have to do is confirm that the center is not raw.
  • Step 6:
    • After the Grinch heart cookies are baked, top your cookie cup with one red heart sprinkle placed offset to the right of the center.
    • After allowing them to cool in the tiny muffin tray for 10 minutes or more, take them out and let them cool fully on a wire rack.
